You have your chef husband do it! Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. This year he brined it with salt, brown sugar, apples, oranges, and 11 herbs & spices that I am not allowed to disclose. Then he deep fried it, which sounds so weird, but boy is it moist! I am typically not a big turkey fan, but yummy! He actually fried 2 turkeys & smoked a 3rd one since it was a 35 person Thanksgiving. Then he made some scrumptious turkey soup with the leftover turkey. Deliciouso, I am a lucky girl. In all fairness, I did put the platter out with lettuce on it. Aren't I helpful? And I made 100 delicious rolls, no left overs even. :0( (tears)
Secondly, how to get your kids to cut their hair?Let them play with a comb. They will eventually wind their bangs up into the comb (come on, you know all of us girls have done this a time or two) and magically it never winds back out. Luckily I got some of it out before I had to lop off the comb and a chunk out of the front of her hair. So now Ashley has bangs again, which I actually think are really cute on her. So secretly I am happy?
Try having a special Christmas movie night with them and watch Home Alone. Seriously, poor little Connor was petrified of that movie and has been sleeping in my bedroom ever since. I thought he would think all of the pranks were funny. Oh no, he thinks that robbers are trying to sneak into our house now as soon as they know one of us is alone. He even asks what time it is because like in the movie, he thinks they are coming at 9:00, poor kid.
These pictures don't have anything to do with the story, other than being of my cute little Connor. It just made me laugh that my little Zonies have to bundle up even to eat their cereal in the morning. And he makes funny faces. Maybe he can be our Christmas ham. (ba dum bum) Those were the drums after my bad joke.

Gotta be fast in our family... i barely got any! But anyways thanks for putting on that shindig man that was probably alot of work. How come those pics of concon are reminding me of ashton kutcher? Oh and Ashleys hair is so cute... Good picture too are you experimenting with your cool camera???
Wow!! What a beautiful turkey! Especially the lettuce. I'm always sad when there's no rolls leftover. That's why I always hide a bagfull in a cupboard.;)
Ashley looks so cute with bangs! You guys better watch out in about 5 years!
We thought we'd watch The Nightmare before Christmas with the kids and it was a HUGE mistake! I think we'll stick with Polar Express and Elf.
Nice lookin' turkey! It looks so good nestled in the lettuce. Ashley looks like a doll! My kids love Home Alone.
what a great hubby! He did a great job, we sure appreciated it. Thanks for all y'all's hard work! Yeah, we lived in TX! That's a word.
I guess I didn't look at Ashley really close, I didn't even notice. I noticed she didn't have her glasses on though. What a cute pic, she's such a pretty girl.
That is hilarious, Connor makes me laugh.
